A Collaborative Pilot Project between the Calderon Family and the Mercer Island Youth and Family Services Foundation (MIYFSF).

In January of 2008 Paul Calderon contacted the MIYFSF to request that the Foundation act as a fiscal agent for a memorial fund in the name of Wanda Calderon, a Mercer Island community member who had served as the registrar at Mercer Island High School for many years up until her death in December of 2007. The fund would serve as a mechanism to continue the generosity and care Wanda had given to so many youth in need during her tenure at the high school. The general intent of the fiscal services is to set up an endowment that would generate resources for a school based enhancement fund for needy students at Mercer Island High Schol.
